A Message From Melissa Koch, VP, Global Rewards
While summer is often associated with time away, it also presents a valuable opportunity to reset. As we reach the midpoint of the year, we invite you to take part in our Summer Reset campaign.
The idea is simple: Use this season as a natural pause to clear mental clutter, recharge, and refocus on your well-being. Taking time now to reset helps ensure we have the energy and clarity needed for a strong and successful second half of the year.
To get started, review the Summer Reset Checklist below and select two items to focus on each week. These can be small, intentional actions—like protecting time for a real lunch break, stepping away for a walk, organizing your workspace, or scheduling preventive care. Small, consistent actions drive meaningful impact.
Let’s use this season to strengthen our focus, prioritize our well-being, and finish the year strong—together!
Mental Clarity
- Clear the Queue: Delete or archive “zombie” emails older than three months.
- Create a Focus Block: Schedule 60 minutes each day for uninterrupted deep work—notifications off.
- Do a Brain Dump: Set aside 10 minutes to write down everything on your mind and your to-do list.
- Practice Mindful Minutes: Take three to five minutes to pause, breathe, and reset using mindfulness tools available through your Lyra Health benefits.
Physical Energy
- Stay Hydrated: Drink one full glass of water for every coffee or soda.
- Move the Meeting: Turn one sedentary one-on-one into a walking call.
- Take a Sunlight Break: Step outside for at least 15 minutes at noon.
- Prioritize Preventive Care: Schedule annual checkups, screenings, and wellness visits through your Qnity medical plan.
Work-Life Boundaries
- Set a Digital Sunset: Log off and put your work phone in a drawer by 6:30 p.m.
- Refresh Your Space: Declutter both your physical desk and digital desktop.
- Plan Ahead: Set a clear out-of-office message for your upcoming time off.
- Use Your EAP: Access confidential counseling, stress-management support, and well-being resources through the EAP to help maintain healthy boundaries and protect your mental health.
